Bandit Hound

A dog-whispering bank robber has trained an exceptionally smart hound named Bandit to rob banks. The dog will do whatever his master says, including entering a bank wearing a doggy backpack, a fake bomb, and a note telling the manager to fill up the backpack with $100 bills. After a couple of successful heists, it seems Bandit is the perfect, loyal thief. But trouble starts when the police catch the robber in an abandoned warehouse. The robber escapes, abandoning Bandit, who unfortunately gets a one-way ticket to the pound.

Six months later, 10-year old Owen and his widowed mother, who have recently moved from Ohio to Santa Monica with hopes of a new job, adopt Bandit from a local pet-rescue center. The mother feels that having a dog will help her shy son get acquainted with the kids in the neighborhood. When the mother loses her job, Bandit starts stealing money for the family. Owen secretly decides to use the stolen money to help his mother with the bills. He also starts ‘buying’ friends in the neighborhood.

Meanwhile, after seeing a bizarre news report of a dog robbing an armored car, the robber realizes that Bandit is in Santa Monica. Now he will use all his dog-whispering powers to get the dog back!
